There's now a link on the bottom of your email alerts to stop them being sent for a particular event. If you use an account, you can also turn off alerts when you create events - the system will remember your preference.
You no longer need to worry about losing responses if you need to tweak something on an event. Just go to your edit page (if you use an account, this is available on your accout page) and click 'save changes'.
Of course, if you change the proposed times you may wish to invite your respondents to update their feedback too.
